Not many people have heard of Bridgit Mendler, but she could be the next Miley Cyrus. Due to have her very own show from 2010, she is going to be a big name in the future.Every few years, Disney has to find a new big star. It happened with Miley Cyrus. It happened with Selena Gomez. And now, people think it will happen with Bridgit Mendler. Celebrity commentators such as Perez Hilton are already hailing her as the next big thing and she has just been given her very own show by Disney. But how did this young star get to be in this coveted position?
Moving to the west coast aged 13, Bridgit was not that interested in acting. She picked up a few local jobs but nothing major. It was only when she moved into the center of LA that she started to appear in bigger roles. Her first major role was in the soap, General Hospital. After that, she started to star in movies such as 'The Clique' and 'Labor Pains' and the rest is history.
Bridgit Mendler has almost everything that is needed to be a big Disney star. She can sing, she can act and she can charm. She has been received very well by Disney fans in her appearances on 'JONAS' and 'Wizards of Waverly Place'. Disney has offered her the main acting role in a new show to be produced by the Disney Channel, Good Luck Charlie. In this show Bridgit will play Teddy Holliday, a girl who is forced to look after her younger sister Charlotte when her parents are busy working.
It is worth keeping an eye on this young star. It may be a while yet before she takes the crown from Miley Cyrus but she should not be underestimated.
